Waiting to See

A week ago this past Friday (December 12th), Aliya's glasses broke on her face. She was playing in a tunnel playground, and she fell. She had a very large goose egg on her forehead and some scratches/cuts on her cheek. It took about 30 minutes for her to stop crying--it was actually Niah who helped her to stop.

Aliya was very devastated when she realized her glasses were broken, and she wouldn't be able to wear them for a while. It broke Daddy's heart when she told him that she couldn't see very well with out her glasses (they were watching a movie). The next day I super-glued the frame so that she could wear them until we got them replaced.

It's been a little over a week now, and tomorrow we are going to the doctor's office to pick up her new glasses. She is very happy about that because as of yesterday, the super-glue just isn't working any more.

I am thankful that she can see better with her glasses. That means that they are doing their job. In March we return to the eye doctor to see if her vision has improved. I am expecting a good report.
