Change of Guard

Wow! What a change! Kiahna is no longer the innocent bystander, but has now emerged as the perpetrator. Aliya is quick to point out that SHE was not the one to pour flour all over the floor or empty the trashcan onto the floor--it was KONI!!! Now that Aliya has an accomplice, she has matured into the "older" sibling.

Aliya and Kiahna are not the only ones changing--Niah is maturing into a young adult. She has not completely abandoned all childhood ways, but she is beginning to do more grown up things when given a choice.

Kiahna can now chew bubblegum--better known as "bubbles". She found her first piece in the trash, and now she is hooked! I had to cut her hair Thursday because she put gum in it. She wasn't too happy about the gum being in her hair (it was painful), but once I got it out, she was asking for some more bubbles.

Kiahna is no longer a pacifier kid. She has been sober for 2 weeks now. Maybe that is why she has "grown up" on me. She is also on the countdown to "no more mommies milk". We took away all the bottles a few months ago, and she does just fine with either a cup and straw or a sippy cup. She loves food, and she definitely knows when she is hungry!!! Once we get through this stage, I think potty training will be around the corner.
